What exactly does this mean?
It Means...
...Students receive personalized instruction. Rather than a large class ratio of 1:30, Halstrom's program is 1:1. Students receive the undivided attention of their instructors during their scheduled class time as well as support for their learning outside of the classroom.
...You receive college preparatory instruction that is built around your unique needs. For example, Sasha Cohen, figure skater, needed a flexible program that would allow her to complete her studies while actively training for the Olympics and other competitions. HHS provides the flexibility you need to pursue your passion.
...Halstrom is very different from other online programs. While you will find several institutions that offer online self-study programs, home-schooling and correspondence school, you simply won't find a program that uses technology to provide live, one-to-one instruction along with the unique environment that HHS provides.
...This perfect blend of live interaction and self-directed learning. HHS teachers meet with their students, one-to-one, on a weekly basis, using internet and sometimes videoconferencing. During this scheduled appointment, the teacher is able to instruct the student just as he/she would if they were meeting together in person. Between appointments, students complete their assignments and prepare for their next appointment.
